Accredited Programmes

There are currently 59 undergraduate and 35 postgraduate AfN Accredited Degree Programmes which enable their graduates to apply for Registered Associate Nutritionist registration via the Direct Entry pathway.

AfN Degree Accreditation is awarded for five years unless stated otherwise. An application for re-accreditation should be made before the end of the cycle to ensure continuous accreditation applies.

Should degree programme accreditation cease before existing students complete their degree, the university must inform the students of this fact and that they will not be eligible to join the UKVRN (UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists) upon graduation via the direct entry application pathway. Instead, they will be required to apply via the by portfolio pathway, providing sufficient evidence to demonstrate they meet all the core competencies and eligibility requirements for registration.

AfN expects degree programme providers to actively support all students wishing to submit a portfolio for registration where possible.
