External examiner responsibilities and requirements:
- Responsibilities: External examiner responsibilities include the completion of bi-annual review of the mandatory course folders, an evaluation of the assessment process and of the academic standards of the award. A report should be prepared for each review.
- Requirements: Applicants should be UKVRN Registered Nutritionists, hold appropriate academic qualifications, including a PhD in a relevant field, be familiar with AfN standards and core competencies, have a current academic position involving teaching and have previous experience as an external examiner.
