Nutrition Professionals - working with industry or campaign groups

A recent article in the Daily Mail highlighted the position of responsibility nutrition and health professionals have when working with industry, particularly when posting on social media, in order to not undermine the public's trust in the profession. UKVRN Registrants must therefore take care to ensure any messages/posts they share do not contravene either regulations or the standards expected for professional conduct. Read the statement here

AfN Petition for a Royal Charter progresses to formal stage and public consultation

We are pleased to announce that the AfN Petition for a Royal Charter was presented to the Privy Council and has now proceeded to the next formal stage of the process and public consultation. Read the announcement here

Two sent to jail for selling worthless nutrition courses and registration

We welcome the immediate custodial sentences passed down to Scott Wolfe and Katie Hope for their fraudulent activities selling "worthless" nutrition courses and "sham" registration. Read the announcement here

Online Nutrition Course Fraudsters Plead Guilty To All Charges

On Monday 25th February 2019, Scott Wolfe and Katie Hope pleaded guilty to multiple offences including forgery, fraudulent trading and money laundering at Norwich Crown Court, in relation to fake online nutrition courses. Read press note here

Association for Nutrition (AfN) is delighted to announce that responsibility for the UK Undergraduate Curriculum in Nutrition for newly qualified doctors has been officially transferred from the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges (AoMRC) to the Association for Nutrition (AfN).
