Founding Fellows of the Association for Nutrition (FFAfN)

In September 2012, AfN Council awarded Founding Fellowships to the following individuals, each of whom gave a significant and sustained service to the establishment of AfN and managing transition of the UKVRN across from the Nutrition Society.

The Founding Fellows of the Association for Nutrition are:

Janet Cade
For longstanding service as Founding Trustee and Chair, Registration Committee, developing the Register and its functions, including leading the register review, laying the foundations for a strong and growing AfN.

For service as the first AfN Chief Executive, and the considerable personal and financial risk taken to found AfN.

Alan Jackson 
For determined and sustained leadership, driving forward with vision the concept of professionalism in nutrition, to establish and lead AfN, in the role of President for 7 years and subsequently as AfN Emeritus Founding President.

For service as a Lay Member, providing longstanding service as a Trustee and Chair of the Accreditation Committee, developing and supporting the AfN's education base through course accreditation.

For service as Registrar of the UKVRN as an employee of the Nutrition Society, developing the Register and its administrative arrangements which laid the foundation for AfN.
